Curry Mee as Breakfast @ Air Itam, Penang

Fengjia Night Market @ Taichung, Taiwan

I'm staying in Fengjia area, so it just took me a short walking distance to Fengjia night market. While walking along the street, the "food-hunting" mood is ON!

Never go for restaurant if you are travelling to Taiwan!
Well, as we know Taiwan is famous with their 小吃 (snack). Eat and try everything if you can! Never set a mind that we have that snack in our own country, and what for come to Taiwan and had the same snack?". That's stupid! Don't you know it's originally from Taiwan and the taste could be different and might be much yummier. Set your mind : Diet always start tomorrow! #girlbeinggirls

Papaya milk to start off the journey of food hunting!

Taiwan Mochi
Crispy for the first bite and then the softness inside, just perfect with the sour sauce.

My first stinky tofu in Taiwan.
Not really stinky as I thought. It's quite crispy with the sweet and a little bit spicy sauce.
Overall, it's yummy. Craving for it now!

Recommended!! Pork Leg. It's so crispy. I can eat all of that.

Taiwanese like to eat this. They are selling at night market, roadside and also 7-11.
Something like our Yong-Tau-Fu.

Fengjia is really a huge night market. Walked around 3 hours but still not able to visit all the street and shop.Besides getting many varieties of snacks along the street, it's also ladies heaven. Shopping!
I can just gone uncontrollable to grab what I want. Some of the price is really whao~

So that's how my wallet damaged for the first night in Taiwan.

Headed back to hostel around 11pm, most of the foods stall started to clean up. I wanted to explore more around the area actually but didn't make it as I need to wake up early in morning for next day.
Of cause I hope I will have a chance to be back there again!

Hello Taiwan!

Finally, escaped to Taiwan!

Flying off from KL to Taoyuan need around 4hours. AA flight seat is really horrible! I feels so uncomfortable for the whole journey but yet it's a new experience for me. Yes, my first international flight at age 24? Laugh at me then.
I always like to snap picture of the window view. It's beautiful and you won't be able to capture the same picture with the same cloud again in future.

Reached Taoyuan safely around 2pm.
After immigration and baggage collection, we proceed to Taiwan Tourism Board Center which is just in front of the departure hall to redeem our digital tour buddy phone and also apply for youth card.

First station, Taichung!
I need to take Ubus from Taoyuan airport to THSR Taoyuan  and then from THSR Taoyuan to THSR Taichung. The cost is NT30 each adult per way for Ubus and NT540 each adult per way for THSR. There's another option to go Taichung from Taoyuan, you can take their normal bus which need around 2hours plus to reach Taichung City and it cost less than NT300.

THSR Schedule : http://www.thsrc.com.tw/index.html

Passed by Hsinchu.
No chance to explore this place, it gonna be in my list for next visit.

Reached Taichung on time at 5.35pm.
You know what? Taiwan public transport is always on time! Plus, they do provide a good services. Not like Malaysia, the public transport always late and you will get bad service if the person selling ticket is in bad mood. They will treat you like you owing them a thousand million and showing you their "blackface".

I'm starting to miss Taiwan lifestyle now! :(

Back to the topic.
Walked to exit 6 to take cab from THSR Taichung to Fengjia. In Taiwan, you were no need to worry about public transport, and don't shy to ask! The Taiwanese is always friendly. We took cab from THSR to Fengjia which just cost us NT285.

Finally, checked in!

This is the lobby for the hostel that I stayed - Like the decoration and environment.
Not going to introduce this hostel name as the service they provided to me are so un-pro I can say. There's some misunderstanding for the room reservation and we had some argument on that. At last, I cold down myself and accepted the solution that they could provide to me although I'm not happy la.

The hostel environment is not bad actually. It's clean and safe but the toilet is quite small. It's suitable for backpack couple. Big NO NO for big luggage, if not you will need to carry like crazy to the 4th floor. This is what I experienced!
Well, lesson learned and my journey in Taiwan begins.

I'm in love

I’m not lucky enough to own a passport when I was young, and have a family trip to others country during my school holiday. Papa usually will drive us with his van for a road trip whenever there’s a holiday! So I've been traveled to all the state in the map below when I was young (memories quite blur actually)

Of cause I couldn't travel to go Sabah and Sarawak, as I said – I don’t have passport. One day, I will make the dreams come true.

It was 15 years back and now every one of us was grew up and Papa no longer driving as his eye is not good. So I’m his driver now :)

I don’t remember since when I’m in love with travel. Should I say exploring?
I don’t need a luxury trip actually; I just need a great experience trip.
I like to see the different life style from each place, village, city, state and also country – every single thing even the world under the water! God created the awesome world for us to RELAX and ENJOY the life.

Well, travel needs money and I’m a poor girl. *sad*
Thus, I started with small escape. Although I have been traveled to all the states in peninsular Malaysia when I was young but everything is changed now and not every places I’d explored before. Besides, reality life is too tired and stress. This is why I like to enjoy my holiday and spend some meaningful time with love ones.

Oh yeah, I'm in love with ....... T.R.A.V.E.L

726 It's my Day @ Heaven Gate,Penang

Had a private birthday dinner with loves one this year at Heaven Gate Decided to have a try because I haven't been there before and it's in my wish-to-go list as well.

The signature c.h.i.c rainbow bar
Seriously, I'm in love with their rainbow bar. It's simple yet elegant, such an awesome idea. I'm regret for not taking much picture on that night and yea, starting to miss the environment right now.

Oh yea! They are changing their menu at the moment. So some of the dishes in the menu are not available. Actually,I wanted to have a try for their Poulet Roti Rouge Vin which is Red Wine Toast Chicken ~ Seasoning roast chicken with herbs honey and red wine done with potato and salad. Sound good right? Too bad I'm not that lucky to try it.

Well, Heaven Gate environtment pretty kills me. It's quite cosy, such a nice place for couple if you wanted to have a romantic dinner. For me, I'm just like stepped in ROME!

I had Aromatic Smoked Chick that night, it comes with potato baked with cheese.
One things I'm quite love about the food is their presentation on the food, it's compareable with others high-class fine dining restaurant. The taste, very-good! 9/10.

Last but not least, my simple birthday cake.

Although it's just a simple cake but it meant a lots to me. Thanks for given me such a cute smile on the plate!

Besides, I would like to thank you my friends, colleagues, buddies and also loves one for the birthday celebrations, presents and also wishes. I felt blessed to have all of you even thou it's just a simple birthday wishes.

Throwback Escape – Snorkeling @ Pulau Payar, Kedah

Can’t believe time passed so fast. My virgin snorkeling was one year ago! I still remember the awesome escape; it’s a memorable escape for me. Kinda miss the moment right now = (

Snorkeling is not easy as I thought. You need to know how to breathe well by using the snorkel (if you don’t know how to swim, like me). You also need to know how to turn your body if you’re wearing the life jacket or else, you will look like turtle floating at the sea. It’s true! Do not choose the wrong size life jacket, don’t too big or don’t too small. Make sure it’s fit to your body.
The happy FAT me . P/S : Ignore the tired face

The mask and snorkel

Waterprooft Camera
This is my first waterproof camera. Stupid me should bought it at nearby camera shop before heading to Payar but I didn’t. So I bought it with expensive price at the platform. It’s much cheaper if you bought it at normal camera shop. The camera is only for one time use, and I was thinking to keep the camera as memories but stupid camera shop throws it away – make me sad to the max.

So what left is the photo taken by the waterproof camera.
Phot taken by the waterproof camera

Oh ya! Not to forget
I’m highly recommended Langkawi Carol if you planning to have snorkeling trip to Pulau Payar. It’s much more expensive but worth it because you will snorkeling around the platform instead of beach side. Trust me! Snorkeling at platform is much more fun than snorkeling at beach side.

You know why?

You can’t imagine how many fish is surrounding you. Some even bite your leg, may be too hungry? *evil smile* Anyhow, get set with your snorkel and mask and see the world under the water. For me, that’s amazing and beautiful.  You can even see a NEMO !

Yes! At the platform, there’s a mini underwater world as well. I took many photos of this underwater world actually, just like to enjoy seeing many kinds of fish swimming here and there. It’s really beautiful.

And this was my favorite, the fish is really huge.

Ok, the actual schedule of the package should be – Snorkeling at the platform, then buffet lunch around 12, snorkeling at the beach (will go by mini boat), then viewing the carol by boat .. End at 3pm.
But we was out of the actual schedule as we swam to the beachside by our self and walk to the snorkeling place at the beachside. And then swam back to the platform, by the time it’s lunch time. After had our lunch, the others was taking boat to the beachside and we was enjoying sunbathing at the platform and took our water bath before they heading back to the platform.

While the others was busy bathing, we already done. So we took boat to have carol view

So yea, bottom part of the boat was made by window glass. You can see the carol under the water. It took about 10~15mins minutes for this.

Feeding the fish while waiting others to done.
Ferry reached around 3pm and it took 2hours to reach Penang. Everyone is sleeping in the ferry,so do me!I’m really missing the escape and wish I could go again. *finger cross*
