Fengjia Night Market @ Taichung, Taiwan

I'm staying in Fengjia area, so it just took me a short walking distance to Fengjia night market. While walking along the street, the "food-hunting" mood is ON!

Never go for restaurant if you are travelling to Taiwan!
Well, as we know Taiwan is famous with their 小吃 (snack). Eat and try everything if you can! Never set a mind that we have that snack in our own country, and what for come to Taiwan and had the same snack?". That's stupid! Don't you know it's originally from Taiwan and the taste could be different and might be much yummier. Set your mind : Diet always start tomorrow! #girlbeinggirls

Papaya milk to start off the journey of food hunting!

Taiwan Mochi
Crispy for the first bite and then the softness inside, just perfect with the sour sauce.

My first stinky tofu in Taiwan.
Not really stinky as I thought. It's quite crispy with the sweet and a little bit spicy sauce.
Overall, it's yummy. Craving for it now!

Recommended!! Pork Leg. It's so crispy. I can eat all of that.

Taiwanese like to eat this. They are selling at night market, roadside and also 7-11.
Something like our Yong-Tau-Fu.

Fengjia is really a huge night market. Walked around 3 hours but still not able to visit all the street and shop.Besides getting many varieties of snacks along the street, it's also ladies heaven. Shopping!
I can just gone uncontrollable to grab what I want. Some of the price is really whao~

So that's how my wallet damaged for the first night in Taiwan.

Headed back to hostel around 11pm, most of the foods stall started to clean up. I wanted to explore more around the area actually but didn't make it as I need to wake up early in morning for next day.
Of cause I hope I will have a chance to be back there again!

Hello Taiwan!

Finally, escaped to Taiwan!

Flying off from KL to Taoyuan need around 4hours. AA flight seat is really horrible! I feels so uncomfortable for the whole journey but yet it's a new experience for me. Yes, my first international flight at age 24? Laugh at me then.
I always like to snap picture of the window view. It's beautiful and you won't be able to capture the same picture with the same cloud again in future.

Reached Taoyuan safely around 2pm.
After immigration and baggage collection, we proceed to Taiwan Tourism Board Center which is just in front of the departure hall to redeem our digital tour buddy phone and also apply for youth card.

First station, Taichung!
I need to take Ubus from Taoyuan airport to THSR Taoyuan  and then from THSR Taoyuan to THSR Taichung. The cost is NT30 each adult per way for Ubus and NT540 each adult per way for THSR. There's another option to go Taichung from Taoyuan, you can take their normal bus which need around 2hours plus to reach Taichung City and it cost less than NT300.

THSR Schedule : http://www.thsrc.com.tw/index.html

Passed by Hsinchu.
No chance to explore this place, it gonna be in my list for next visit.

Reached Taichung on time at 5.35pm.
You know what? Taiwan public transport is always on time! Plus, they do provide a good services. Not like Malaysia, the public transport always late and you will get bad service if the person selling ticket is in bad mood. They will treat you like you owing them a thousand million and showing you their "blackface".

I'm starting to miss Taiwan lifestyle now! :(

Back to the topic.
Walked to exit 6 to take cab from THSR Taichung to Fengjia. In Taiwan, you were no need to worry about public transport, and don't shy to ask! The Taiwanese is always friendly. We took cab from THSR to Fengjia which just cost us NT285.

Finally, checked in!

This is the lobby for the hostel that I stayed - Like the decoration and environment.
Not going to introduce this hostel name as the service they provided to me are so un-pro I can say. There's some misunderstanding for the room reservation and we had some argument on that. At last, I cold down myself and accepted the solution that they could provide to me although I'm not happy la.

The hostel environment is not bad actually. It's clean and safe but the toilet is quite small. It's suitable for backpack couple. Big NO NO for big luggage, if not you will need to carry like crazy to the 4th floor. This is what I experienced!
Well, lesson learned and my journey in Taiwan begins.

I'm in love

I’m not lucky enough to own a passport when I was young, and have a family trip to others country during my school holiday. Papa usually will drive us with his van for a road trip whenever there’s a holiday! So I've been traveled to all the state in the map below when I was young (memories quite blur actually)

Of cause I couldn't travel to go Sabah and Sarawak, as I said – I don’t have passport. One day, I will make the dreams come true.

It was 15 years back and now every one of us was grew up and Papa no longer driving as his eye is not good. So I’m his driver now :)

I don’t remember since when I’m in love with travel. Should I say exploring?
I don’t need a luxury trip actually; I just need a great experience trip.
I like to see the different life style from each place, village, city, state and also country – every single thing even the world under the water! God created the awesome world for us to RELAX and ENJOY the life.

Well, travel needs money and I’m a poor girl. *sad*
Thus, I started with small escape. Although I have been traveled to all the states in peninsular Malaysia when I was young but everything is changed now and not every places I’d explored before. Besides, reality life is too tired and stress. This is why I like to enjoy my holiday and spend some meaningful time with love ones.

Oh yeah, I'm in love with ....... T.R.A.V.E.L
